The Hornet Hustle was founded in 2009 by the Abilene Elementary PTO to replace traditional sales fundraisers. It’s a fun event for the students while also encouraging physical activity and competition. Hornet Hustle is completely organized by volunteers and 100% of the proceeds go back to the school.  This is a  competitive race with top finisher awards for children 10 and under, ages 11-18, and 19 and older. There is a male and female category for each age division.  This year we will be adding a senior awards division for runners who are over 60 years old. Because our race is on a cross country course, we’re offering a special discount for cross country participants to run without receiving an event shirt. For more information please contact our event coordinators.
