We’re BACK!
The annual Race for Freedom is a 5K run/walk organized by ICT S.O.S. to benefit a local organization involved in the fight against human trafficking. This year’s Race for Freedom will be an IN-PERSON & virtual event on Saturday, Sept. 11 and will benefit ICT S.O.S.
ICT S.O.S. has Raised Over $200,000 for Partner Organizations
The annual race raises thousands of dollars each year for a different partner organization working with at-risk youth & adults. This year, we are excited to benefit ICT S.O.S. for our tenth anniversary of both the race and the organization!
Your participation this year helps to support advocacy services for adult survivors of trafficking and exploitation, education for youth in middle and high schools through our trafficking awareness curriculum and upcoming film, resources for professionals and survivors, and training for industries, direct service professionals, educators, volunteers and the community.
Are you ready to help us raise awareness and funding to stop human trafficking in Wichita?
We invite you to participate in this race by registering to run, walk, participate virtually or purchasing a t-shirt to create real and lasting change in our city!
2020 was no doubt a difficult year for races, including ours. Even though we had to make the gut-wrenching decision to go virtual last year, we were still able to raise over $13,000 for Rise Up for Youth! We missed our runners, walkers and volunteers desperately!
This year we feel that with about 100 back-up plans and contingencies for safety we can hold an in-person event. We’ll be working closely throughout the year with the city, county, Carpenter Place, Timer Guys and our committee to make sure that we can bring you the best possible experience while still keeping everyone safe and healthy!
Be sure to watch your email and our Facebook page as well as this website for any pertinent information on Covid protocols as they change. We’re hopeful that by fall our community will be back to some semblance of normal gatherings.
Until then: wash your hands, maintain a safe distance from people with cooties and do all you can to stay strong and healthy. Get some fresh air and some good training miles in. We want to see you at the starting line!
