Packet pick-up will be Friday May 4, 2017 from 4-6 PM at: Frontier Conference Center,  350 Biddle Blvd,  Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027

The course consists of a 200yd indoor swim, a 12.6 mile bike route, and a 5k run.

-The swim will be an individual staggered start beginning in Lane 1 and swimming a serpentine route ending in Lane 8.

-The bike course is a two loop route that takes you through the hills and historic sites across Fort Leavenworth.

-Runners then head out on a 5k run that continues along another area of the fort's historical buildings.

Individual and Relay Team categories.

Minimum age is 13.

Awards for overall male and female winners, along with the top three in each age group and the top male, female, and mixed relay team participants.

When you are registering as a Relay Team, you can register your entire team at once, or you can have each person register individually.  If your team members are registering individually, make sure the first team member that registers tells their teammates what he or she set as the team name. They will need this to complete the registration process!

Please be aware that all participants accessing Fort Leavenworth must possess an approved access credential (Military ID, CAC, etc).  Individuals who don't must go through the Visitor Control Center (VCC) beforehand in order to get a temporary access pass.  Fort Leavenworth VCC does not open until 8:00AM on Saturday, so anyone needing to obtain an access pass will need to go by earlier in the week to get a pass for Saturday.  Visitors can receive a pass 7 days prior to the event date. Spring Fever Triathlon

The 2022 Spring Fever Triathlon is a great race for beginner triathletes as well as experienced racers. Many local and regional athletes began their triathlon “careers” at this event. The Spring Fever Sprint Triathlon is held at the Jenks Aquatic Center featuring an indoor Olympic sized pool located in Jenks, Oklahoma. The bike and run segments include a tour of beautiful Green Country just south of Tulsa.

Description

Sunday, September 10th, the Apple Triathlon will be held at Tuttle Creek State Park in Manhattan, KS. The swim portion will be held in the River Pond Campground area. The bike portion will be an out and back route on Highway 13. The event will culminate with a flat out and back run course within the campground. Plenty of parking and camping will be available in the race area.

Swim Course
Swimmers will start at the beach to the south of the dam. They will then complete one 400 meter loop around the lake area.

Bike Course
The bike route starts at Tuttle Creek State Park and continuesout and back on Highway 13 for a total distance of 12.4 miles.

Run Course
Runners will head out of the transition area and run an out and back 3.1 mile course throughout the campground.

USAT Competitive Rules

  • Unique race medals awarded to all finishers.
  • Technical t-shirt for all participants.
  • You must pick up your race packet with photo i.d. and USAT card (or purchase the 1 day membership for $15) at the designated locations.
  • There is no required bike check for this event.
  • Bring your valid USA Triathlon card and picture ID to packet pick-up. If you do not have your valid USA Triathlon card with you, you will be required to sign up for a one-day license ($15) at the event. Temporary cards can be printed at http://www.usatriathlon.org
  • All race entries are final. This is an outdoor race. There is always a chance that weather may force the race director to limit, adjust or cancel a event. State park officials are the ultimate decision makers. No refunds or transfers.
  • It is the responsibility of each athlete to know the race course and any potential hazards which may exist on it.
  • Aid Stations: Located approx. every 1.5 miles on the run course furnish water, ice and electrolyte beverage.
  • Make sure that you properly wear your race number and timing chip.  The bib number must be worn on the front of your body during the entire run portion of the event. You will be body marked on race morning before the swim.
  • The roads are open to traffic. Ride on the right hand side of the road unless instructed otherwise by a police officer or a race official. Please discourage your friends and family members from driving on the race course while the race is in progress.
  • Spectators will not be allowed into the transition areas. If you would like to hand your gear to a friend over the transition area fence before you begin the bike portion of the event you are welcome to do so.
  • Park only in designated parking places.
  • Award ceremony will be following the race.
  • The race results will be posted on this web site as soon are they are available after the race.

The Chris Brown Duathlon is a great introduction to multi-sport events for beginners. It is also a challenging opportunity for experienced and competitive athletes. The Chris Brown Duathlon includes a 5km road run, 25km road bike, and another 5km road run. The event is held at Mohawk Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The run course is fast and flat on a closed paved road within Mohawk Park. The bike course is relatively flat with only a few rolling hills along the city streets of Tulsa.

The Youth Triathlon at The J provides a fun and healthy opportunity to help children stay active this summer. By combining swimming, biking and running in one sport, participants benefit from well-rounded fitness workouts, enhancing their endurance and strength, and having a lot of fun!
The event is a fun way for children with wide ranges of experience, from novice to serious athlete, to participate individually or as part of a 2-3 person team. You won't want to miss food, music, fun and an award for every participant! The Youth Triathlon at the J is open to youth 4-17 years of age (NOTE: Per USA Triathlon Rules, the race age for an athlete is his/her age on Dec 31 of the year of the event).

Participants and parents are REQUIRED to attend a pre-race orientation session.

10th Annual United Way Triathlon

Event distances included a 200-meter swim, 7-mile, bike ride and 2-mile run. Cost is $50 per individual or $90 per 3-person relay team. Registration is to 225 competitors.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Triathlon we will be adding a Junior Triathlon (ages 5 to 15). The Junior Triathlon will include a 100M swim, 3.5 mile bike ride and a .75 mile run. The Junior Triathlon will follow along the same routes as the adult triathlon. The cost to register is only $25 and includes a free t-shirt. Talk your child today and encourage them to start a tradition of fun, health, and competition and join the Junior Triathlon.

Event Overview

The bike ride and run are on live city streets with protected intersections. Participants will be staged in heats based on 200-meter swim time. Please be as accurate as possible when reporting times. Age groups will be determined based on number of registrations. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each division. The first place team will also receive recognition.

Event Regulations

  • Bikers must wear an approved helmet during the bike portion of the event.
  • No headphones will be permitted during the race.
  • Bikes must have working brakes.
  • No drafting will be permitted during the bike portion of the event.

  • All events will begin and end at the McPherson Water Park, 511 N. Lakeside Drive.
  • The 200-meter swim includes a serpentine swim in the McPherson Water Park pool.
  • Bikers will follow a 7-mile route on live streets starting east on Euclid, North on Maxwell, east on Northview until 17th Avenue and then retrace back through west Lakeside Drive.
  • Runners will follow a 2-mile route on live streets starting west on Simpson, south on Hartup, east on Euclid, north on Charles, east on Simpson, north on Eshelman, west on Sharp and then loop southwest through west Lakeside Drive.

Summer Stride Out

Summer Stride Out is a 5k and 1 mile fun run fundraiser for Andover High School and Andover Central High School with proceeds profiting the cross country and track programs. Join us for this 2nd annual community event to not only benefit the high schools but also celebrate the start of another upcoming school year.  The family-friendly 5k run/walk will begin just outside Andover District Stadium and make a square around the community, running along the newly completed Redbud Trail. and finishing back on the track.  Stick around for an evening of music, food, and prizes!

Packet pick up is Thursday, August 3 from 3-6 pm at FleetFeet Wichita East. Packet pick up is also available Friday, August 4 beginning at 5:30 pm at District Stadium.

CGSC Triathlon

The course consists of a 200yd indoor swim, a 12.6 mile bike route, and a 5k

ground overlooking the historic fort, and follows the banks of the mighty
Missouri River passing dozens of historic homes and buildings. The return
route takes the rider past the site of the old historic US Disciplinary
Barracks and then proceeds to follow a mile long uphill climb before making
its returning descent back to the transition area.

-Runners then head out on a 5k run that continues along another area of the
fort's historical buildings.

Munson Mayhem 5K & Duathlon

Celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the Expert Field Medical Badge, the Munson Mayhem 5K and Duathlon is April 22, 8 a.m., start and finish at Munson Army Health Center (MAHC). Choose 5K run or duathlon (5K run, 9 mile bike ride, 2 mile run)

The event starts at Munson Army Health Center (MAHC) and starts with a 5K road circuit around the scenic north end Fort Leavenworth. This 5K course takes you up through the wooded hills of the installation and loops back south to finish back at MAHC. The biking course then takes cyclists east through some historic sections of Fort Leavenworth and turning south, with a turnaround point near Sherman Gate. Cyclists will then head back north past the historic US Disciplinary Barracks and back up through the wooded hills from the 5K course. Riders will come back south and turn by the National Cemetery before returning to MAHC. The final leg of the race is a 2 mile run around the beautiful Trails West Golf Course. Runners will complete one full lap, and will end back at MAHC.
