History of the Race and Name
May 2017 we lost Ramon. In the beginning we ran on Ramon & Betty’s property. Ramon took such pride in having us on his land. After his death, with Betty’s permission we are proud of rename this race the Ramon Criss Storm the Dam Trail Run presented by W Investments.
About the event
The Ramon Criss Storm the Dam Trail presented by W Investments is a chip-timed trail run which winds through
El Dorado Lake State Park. The race consists of three races; the SBA half marathon, 10K & 5K. Runners will use the Teter Nature Trail; along with a challenging single-track trail. Depending on rainfall expect some wet and muddy crossings. Of course, you will have to “storm up” the dam! Grassy moderate rolling hills of the Boulder Bluff horse trail await you next, work your way through the Walnut Ridge Trail before crossing the finish line near the amphitheater
About the course and rule
Course limit is 4 hours
No bicycles, automobiles, roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, baby joggers, or animals are allowed on the course.
Aid stations
Six volunteer-staffed aid stations await you with food and hydration. There are NO CUPS at the aid stations.
